1.5 preview

As you already know, we’re currently working on the next big MoneyBook update. This following version will make MoneyBook even more practical for you.

Many of you don’t receive the salary the first of the month and recurring expenses and incomings aren’t on the first day of the month too. So the 1.5 update will address exactly this two issues.

The real challenge when developing iPhone apps

When we started with MoneyBook, for us it was clear that it will be a long term project. We didn’t want to put out a little app, make some money and then let it die. No, from the beginning we wanted to do someting that lives and evolves with every update.

Why budget is not equal budget

As many of you already noticed, in version 1.4 there’s a little confusing behaviour of the app how it handles the budget.
Currently when you enter incoming transactions they get added on your monthly budget. Of course this is not how a real budget works. Because of this we’re working on a next version which will include an option to enable real budget behaviour.

Incomings

incomings are coming
To be honest, at first we thought we’ll make an expense tracker with MoneyBook. We didn’t realize that many people want to manage their incomings too. But we heard you and we always listen. So we’re still trying to find the best way to integrate an incoming feature in MoneyBook. But incomings will come soon, it’s one of our highest priorities right now. We think it will come right after 1.3 which brings export and some small UI improvements.

So keep on budgeting and if you like, don’t forget to nominate us on the bestappever-awards. Thanks!
