Vicky - 17. February 2010
Sync and Password protection will make this a killer app.Thanks
Jaryre - 17. February 2010
Great! Nice to know that my most wanted features are in the list!
Keep up the good work guys!
Glad to have dedicated developers like you all.
Thank so much!
Max - 17. February 2010
Sounds great guys. Really satisfied about the future updates!
Tomislav - 17. February 2010
You should also implement currency conversion on the input screen. For example when I’m in a foreign country I can enter the expenses in that currency and they are automatically converted to my local currency and added to moneybook.
Roy - 17. February 2010
Good News
Thank you for your design,
##custom currency and language##
##Password protection##
Al - 17. February 2010
CSV export is now available… is there an import too?
Mischa (Admin) - 17. February 2010
@Jaryre
thx a lot, is nice to hear that!
@max
thank you to!
@Roy
thx, a lot of people have asked for this features.
@Al
did you read anything about a CSV import???? -.-
maeltj - 17. February 2010
Now, for me is a must have app on any iPhone,
make it even greater.
Thanks guys for all this work.
Al - 18. February 2010
@ Mischa
This was no critique, rather a recommendation. Apart from this, it’s a really great App.
No, but i would like to
Roy Smith - 18. February 2010
Thanks a lot for the recent update!!! Already looking forward for the surprise you mentioned
Btw, it’s sweet to know that the “glow” will come back one day. It was really THAT cool!
Keep up the good work guys!
Fabrizio - 18. February 2010
Italian version still needs some adjust.
Please drop me an email and i’ll translate them (i’ve just send you a private mail for that)
Fabrizio - 18. February 2010
There’s ONE big missing feature.
I don’t want a budget mode, nor a only month salary mode.
I need to be free to insert incoming and expenses and i’d like to know EXACTLY in main screen which is the actual BALANCE (difference between incoming and expense).
May you please add this important missing feature ???
Thanks
Fabrizio
Adrian - 18. February 2010
Yes, please, a BALANCE MODE should be really useful.
It can be a third mode (budget, salary and only_balance)
+1 more vote for that !
face - 18. February 2010
Great idea a balance mode !
It would be interesting to have a monthly balance (every month) and an absolute balance (this latter simply the difference between income/expense for every transactions inserted).
The balance (monthly and absolute) should be simply shown in summary screen, instead of budget or salary.
What do you guys think about these requests ?

Timothy - 18. February 2010
Hello there your software is just perfect! I love it! If it is possible I’d love to see some more categories like; mobile phones contracts and a specific fuel category. Shoudn’t be so difficult to implement! Anyway totally worth my money! Keep it up and thanks alot!
Van - 19. February 2010
I came here to suggest that password protection be implemented and very excited to see it mentioned here! Thank you guys for make such a good looking and intuitive app.
Andrea - 19. February 2010
Andrea
Phil - 19. February 2010
It’s true: balance is the real missing feature of this great piece of software.
Salary is a surplus you can always add salary as new transaction.
If you add to salary a new salary this will not affect the grandtotal and that’s really odd: so it’s really better to remove that feature.
Simply leaving the budget function and add balance function and we’ll have a 10star application !
Mischa (Admin) - 19. February 2010
Hi Fabrizio/Adrian/face/Andrea/Phil – amazing that you all want the same thing from the same IP address on the same day
Mirko - 19. February 2010
Balance, please
Vincent - 19. February 2010
Balance please too ! It’s what I’ve asked for several days ago. I know you want to keep this app simple. And I think balance , absolute and for month, will not complicate the app. It’s just the 3rd simple way peoples follow the budget.
Thanks
Sandro (Admin) - 19. February 2010
not sure what you guys mean with balance. if I’m in salary mode I can even set my main salary to 0 (if I like) and then add normal income transactions and expense transactions and on the main screen I see the difference between income and expense. so what’s the point? don’t get it
Willem - 19. February 2010
Great App guys! But please keep it simple, it’s the strength of this app.
And I’m with Sandro about not seeing the meaning with balance.
Dean - 19. February 2010
Guys loving the App. Really helping me to try and get out of the red. I use the “drink” option far to much:). Any way. I have a featuire request, One that i have not seen here yet.
With the export facility, Possibly implment a nicer way to view the data. I know that having the raw data in excel is nice as you can then do what you will with it but here are some thoughts.
- An Excel type template with graphs (like when moving iphone on its side)
- PDF export again with a nice layout and graphs
- Web server. Allowing the app to act as a web server so that we connect to the app via a wirelass LAN and view all our expences in a well thought outweb site with totals, drill down areas, graphs etc etc.
Just an idea but ithink thats the only thing thas could do with improving, the rest of the app is great.
Cheers guys
Dean

Vincent - 19. February 2010
Balance mode : I mean that each month, the result of the last month is used instead of starting from 0. It could be just a simple option. Nothing complicated like multiple account… Just as simple as today but a simple option to start each month with the last month result. Lot of people who just follows there budget are taking care about the last month result.
Yes, I can manualy add the last month result : but, it will be in the incomings ! So the graphs will be wrong.
Do you understand ?
Fabrizio - 19. February 2010
Me again
Vincent is absolutely right.
The salary mode is really not useful: if i can insert in salary mode a new salary (and other stuff as income) setting a specific salary is redundant, isn’t it ?
A BALANCE mode, instead, is a great missing !
Obviously we don’t need a more complex program: make it simple, as always.
Instead of showing the salary number on the top of main screen show (when in balance mode) simply the BALANCE: the actual difference between all the incoming and all the expenses.
You should add under that line a second number line that take care only of the MONTHLY balance (all the incoming – expenses of a single month).
That’s all: simple and efficient, isn’t it ?
It’s really important to know exactly HOW MANY MONEY you have everytime, everywhere.
What do you think about that ?
One more: the top categories DOES NOT TAKE CARE OF all the expenses but only incoming, why ?
It’s really confusing.
Very last
Why not add a second button and differentiate transactions
NEW INCOMING NEW EXPENSE
it can be speed up the loading of the transaction screen ?
On my iPhone 3G it takes so long at startup and also loading the transaction screen.
Hoping you can take care of all these suggestions.
)
I love your program !

Caminagetcha - 20. February 2010
Hi
Love your app…..
Would be very nice if we could have a mac app with the same characteristics as the iphone app (simple, functional and beautiful)
Would gladly pay for something like that
Andries - 20. February 2010
I’m with Caminagetcha, syncing between iPhone en mac would be wonderful too
Roy - 20. February 2010
###########################################
Month statistics calculate as below :
exsample 20th Feb
Salary : 10000
expenses : 6000
=( 10000 – 6000 )/ 20
= 200
but would be calculate as well
=( 10000 – 6000 )/ 8
= 500
What do you think ?
###########################################
Mike - 21. February 2010
Love the simplicity and visuals of the app..
I would like to see statistics (per day) on the home screen, state how much you have left to use per day, rather than how much you have used per day.
Simon - 21. February 2010
Hi, great app.
I want to know how much is left for the month, i.e consider the recurring items for that month also.
Thanks!
Jo - 22. February 2010
Thanks I love this app!! I bought it cos of the visuals and graphics but a little disappointed when I could not search through the entries that gives me a summary of the amount spent on the items searched. Also, the salary balance do not rollover? So it’s like I’m getting a negative amount. It would be really nice if I could see what is the category I’ve been spending on most in a chart form for the year, rather than just the amount, maybe a piechart?
Other than that, it’s great and user friendly.
Mojtaba - 22. February 2010
Thanks. This is a very amazing app. This is user friendly and Handy. But I think the export feature is weak. This awesome app is needed to have powerful backup and export feature. Maybe a desktop application to sync with iPhone via WiFi !!!
However, It is the best one in its category. You are genius.
Morgen - 22. February 2010
This app is fantastic!! Very clean, well designed and it works flawlessly. One suggested improvement would be the ability to change the budget’s timeframe. Most of my budgets are weekly (I get paid weekly, rent comes out weekly etc.) and it would be excellent not to have to fudge a solution.
Even if this feature is not implemented, it’s still an excellent product. Keep up the good work guys!
Roy - 22. February 2010
@Mike
I would like to see statistics (per day) on the home screen, state how much you have left to use per day, rather than how much you have used per day.
we have a same point ~ thanks !
Dear Sandro / Mischa,
Please implemented in the the program as soon as possible. Thank you !
Sandro (Admin) - 23. February 2010
so much feedback, thanks a lot guys
we read every single entry and of course every single mail. Your feedback is really appreciated.
So, you’re right, maybe it would be cool to see how much you have left per day or at least the possibility to switch from “spent per day” to “left per day”.
It’s surely something we can do for the future, but you understand that it has not the highest priority at the moment.
Tomakun - 23. February 2010
Would like to help for Japanese Localization if needed. Don’t hesitate to shoot me a mail if needed.
JC - 23. February 2010
These 3 features are important… well at least to me.
- better control over the categories (add/modify/delete new/existing categories)
- custom currency (without the need to be tied to region settings)
- transaction filter (by category etc.)
Other than those, this app is great. beautiful implementation.
Gerrit - 23. February 2010
Hi there,
after playing around with a lot of other more complicated apps, I’ve got to say: Really great app, thanks for reducing the interface to all that is needed!
However I have one suggestion for the start screen:
The progress bar at the left could have two arrows, one for money left (or spent) and one for the progress within the budgeted period.
For example: My monthly budget is 1000 Euro. It is the 25th of April and I have spent 750 Euro. Haveing spent 75 percent of my budget would put me in the orange area. On the other hand, since 83,3 percent of the month is over I am still well ahead of my budget. With two arrows, putting spent budget in comparison to “spent” month that could easily be visualised. Maybe the color scheme of the bar could even change accordingly.
I would also second the suggestion for an option to show “money left per day” instead of “money spent per day”.
Thanks again for a great app, Regards,
Gerrit
Mathias - 23. February 2010
Great app guys, I use it every day and it’s a joy!
I would however love to have the ability to edit all the categories so that I can have more control over what I spend money on. Now I have one or two categories which are huge, and all the rest have few or zero transactions in them.
Thanks again!
David Hellmann - 23. February 2010
One big and simple thing is: Make expenses pls RED!!!
Blue dont say what it is. PLS PLS PLS _)
Rgunn - 24. February 2010
Hahahahahahahaha, wow! It’s funny but I have to say…
I agree with Fabrizio/Adrian/face/Andrea/Phil.
It “would” be a nice feature…
If wouldn’t add “clutter” to moneybook!
I like how you two (sandro/mischa) add the
new features while maintaining the “simple” element!
Can’t wait for the secret feature and the blue glow &
it’s ok if there is a little gloss again because
I can’t see how the blue would reflect without it.
I knew this app would be damn sweet
with some updates! Great f-king job guys!!!
Fabrizio - 24. February 2010
@Rgunn
Thanks for the support
Unfortunately we still not receive feedback from the Team for the great missing: balance !
I’ve wrote so much many mails … with no answer at all.
There’s still many errors in italian translation … i’ll send them the correct strings to insert but the errors are still there.
Hoping they don’t take me wrong … i really LOVE the application.
Just want it to be perfect like a … glow
(btw what’s the glow feature ?)
Mischa (Admin) - 24. February 2010
@Fabrizio
we don’t think that this is a “great missing” feature.
Because of this, it is not in our priority.
It needs a lot of time to read and give answer to all the comments and e-mail.
And we really try to do this. But when someone think he have to spam the blog just because for a feature he missed we are not intressted to write them back.
Fabrizio - 24. February 2010
@Mischa
Normally i thank you everyone who takes care to suggest new feature and, above all, i THANK YOU people that, for free, suggest correct translation of some terms.
I wrote many times, spending many times, to fix all the various italian language ‘bugs’.
I never received a little thanks for that.
As opposite i receive a ‘we are not interessed to write them back’.
(Just for clarification: the budget is a recurrent request from many user)
Good luck for your program …
Fabrizio
Mischa (Admin) - 24. February 2010
@Tomakun
thx very much!
But we have already so many language and it is not easy to manage.
So for the moment we will not add new languages.
@Mathias
thx, it is in our plan…
@David
thx for the feedback… we will think about it…
@Rgunn
ohh yeah! Today we have made big steps for the surprise feature. Maybe it will come with 1.6
David Hellmann - 24. February 2010
@Mischa
i hope you make it: http://img191.yfrog.com/i/makeitred.jpg/
Richard - 25. February 2010
Was the ability to edit old transactions removed in the latest version? I could have sworn I was able to do this previously.
Julio - 27. February 2010
Hi
Password protection!
necessary
Chick - 28. February 2010
A simple search function would suit this app really well and make it so much easier find and check transactions made months or even years ago.
John - 1. March 2010
Definitely custom currency setting. I have my region set to UK, but don’t live there currently and have no desire to change my regional setting iPhone-wide to get the right currency symbol! It’s a small thing but enough to put me off unfortunately.
Also, I know you said no “sync” but what would be awesome is to be able to merge transactions with another MoneyBook iPhone use over Bluetooth (ie my wife).
Brian - 1. March 2010
Hi there,
Thanks for a very nice app. I would just like to add one more vote for a “balance” feature.
If I got 2000 (or -500) left from last month I would like to transfer them to the current month – nothing fancy, just a sum of the total income/expence.
Rallo - 1. March 2010
Good app. Like it. Alot of people want alot of extra features – but like you said – there are many other apps to buy if thats the case. I like the simplicity & ease of use – set a budget and stick to it – simple(s)!
One thing i dont fully understand. The Statistics on the main page. eg “£25.52 per day”. What i dont understand is that it seems to add together ALL current & future transactions BUT just states it as a total per day rather than dividing it by the number of days in the current month. I spent £5.15 today and i have a recurring transaction on 31 March for £20, total = 25.15 so far for month (1st March). Shouldnt this be £0.81 (81p) = £25.15/31 Days?
Surely if it includes all past and future transactions then it should divide it by the number of days in the month to accurately represent ‘per day’.
Otherwise it should not include future transactions and divide by the number of days that have pasted in the month = 5.15/1 = £5.15 (and not include the future 20 until that day)
Very long winded post. Hope it makes sense and you can clarify.
Keep updating!!!
Antony_256 - 1. March 2010
It’s the 1st of the month, so I have to +1 the balance mode, having lost the remaining money set in moneybook (even though main salary was set at 0).
Vincent - 1. March 2010
Perhaps you don’t care because I’ve already paid for moneybook, but, definitely, I love it, because it’s simple and beautiful, but I’m forced to stop to use it because there is no mode to start month with the result of the last month.
Sad you don’t want to ear us about that.
Vincent.
Mischa (Admin) - 2. March 2010
@Brian and Antony_256
hi, this will come with an update.
@Rallo
exactly!! This was a bug and should be fixed in the newest version (1.5.3 today out).
@Vincent
hi, don’t worry, this will definitely come with an update!
PS: If we don’t care about everyone who already has paid for moneybook,
we would not add all this updates for free!! Think about it.
Mischa (Admin) - 2. March 2010
@David Hellmann
thx for the img! We will look at it.
@Richard
i can swear you can still make that!
@Chick
this will come with the filter function.
@John
i know your problem and we will make it possible to change the currency or language. I can not say when this will come.
For you second request. It is not so, that we don’t want implement sync.
The main reason is that the implementation will be very difficult. So it is not in our priority for the next time.
Rallo - 2. March 2010
Fyi, updated today 1.5.3 and the “per day” bug is still present……
superyenyen - 2. March 2010
Hi, i’m a new french user and thank u for your app ! that’s great !!
So, i’m also disapointed that the ‘balance’ feature like some guys spell it was not implemented and i think that a big missing for this great app.
so if i understand Misha in the comment, this feature will be implemented soon. i really waiting for thie new release because i can’t really use this app without.
thank you very much for your work !! i will recommand your app to my friend.
Superyenyen.
Sandro (Admin) - 2. March 2010
@Rallo yes you’re right, there’s a little bug, we fixed another bug with the “per day” thing. But the one that you note is still present.
@superyenyen “balance” feature is something we’re gonna make, but not yet in the next version. Next is the password protection and various fixes/improvements. Maybe then we’ll look into “balance” stuff.
Diego - 2. March 2010
Hey why aren’t you gonna add daily/weekly expenses? I’m not requesting them, just want to know the reason behind this decision.
Vincent - 2. March 2010
Thanks ! “Last month result” will come ! GREAT news !
yaoijonge - 3. March 2010
PLEASE, PLEASE, look on my SUBCATEGORIES CONCEPT!
http://rutsog.ru/tilc/moneybook.jpg
I hope it will be useful for future release.
superyenyen - 3. March 2010
@Sandro,@Vincent thank you for the news ! we waiting like childrens wait for christmas
Mischa (Admin) - 3. March 2010
@yaoijonge
i wish programming would be so easy like making images with photoshop.
Vincent - 3. March 2010
@yaoijonge
Great ! So good idea ! Very good concept !!! Like Apple concepts !
Roman - 3. March 2010
Hi guys,
hopefully the setup of custom currencies is soon available! Like the whole concept!
Mathias - 4. March 2010
Put me up on the balance-feature! Im not buying until I can see how much money I hav on my account:)
Kocour - 4. March 2010
Please, implement multiple accounts, otherwise MoneyBook is useless for many pleople, which is a real shame
Mischa (Admin) - 4. March 2010
@Koncour
Sorry, but multiple accounts will definitely not come.
Kocour - 4. March 2010
For what reason?
Mischa (Admin) - 5. March 2010
@Kocour
because of the simplicity… when we implement multi accounts than some user would have the possibility to transfer amounts between the accounts and some one would like to have statistics between the accounts etc.
Kocour - 5. March 2010
@Mischa
Alright, but most people use more accounts than just cash or checking account – at least these two – and there is no way how to get it working now. I honestly love how your app looks, simplicity is beautiful, but without this feature it’s useless.
Mischa (Admin) - 5. March 2010
@Kocour
i completely understand your problem. Maybe moneybook is not what you need.
Mathias - 5. March 2010
I sign on for multiple accounts too. Its absolutely what this app needs. And it can be done with simplisity, just look at Cha-Ching.
Mischa (Admin) - 5. March 2010
@all
if you find that moneybook doesn’t support the must have features for you, than you have to look for an other app.
Diego - 5. March 2010
@Misha: I’m definitely not complaing about Moneybook, I wanted to know why you aren’t going to support weekly transations.
You can reply saying “that’s our business” and I won’t ask for more details, I understand your hard work.
Mischa (Admin) - 6. March 2010
Hi Diego,
THAT’S OUR BUSINESS!!!! hahaha just joke!
We will support weekly transactions in a future version. It makes absolutely sense, because in some countries they become weekly salary.
monsieurfop - 6. March 2010
Hello. This is a great app and it helps me a lot, no more “What did I spent my 100zł on last week?!” The only thing that’s bugging me is that with every month my balance goes to zero. Will there be an option which will automaticly move my balance from the previous month into the next one? I didn’t know it was like that in the app and now I’m really confused with my money, heh.
Kick-ASS application nevertheless!!!
Mischa (Admin) - 6. March 2010
@monsieurfop
don’t worry there will come an update with this option! I can not say when. For the moment we are working on password protection and i think after this.
monsieurfop - 6. March 2010
Much obliged!
Gmgdnj - 11. March 2010
Cool app until the month changed from February to march then my balance went to zero. For me this is major problem. I had to start using balance app in order to give me what i need. Of u put in that fix for the balance to carry over from previous month then this little app is perfect!
glucal - 21. March 2010
Hello there
just a quick comment to let you know that I love your app!
To make it perfect it’d be absolutely great to have a Mac OS X version to sync it with.
I know there are loads of apps out there already (Quicken, iCompta, iFinance, etc) but I always have the feeling there’s something missing in each of them. If you could create a Mac OS X app with the same elegance and simplicity of your iPhone app that would be absolutely fantastic!
In this way you’d be able to leave your iPhone app as simple as you want it to be and then implement all the necessary and detailed features in your OS X app.
How that sounds to you??
René - 29. March 2010
Hi Guys!
In the first instance … your App is awesome!
)
But there is a little thing that I miss. At the
end of a month you always have a rest budget or
you close with a deficit. Could you implement a
carryover? (I hope you understand what I mean
This would be great!
regards
René
Mischa (Admin) - 29. March 2010
@glucal
Its pleasant to hear that you like our work.
To be honest, for the moment we haven’t any time to work on an OSX version of MoneyBook.
@Rene and Gmgdnj
Hi back!
Yes i know what you mean and this will come in the next version(1.6.5). We have already implemented this feature and know we are testing. I think next week we will commit this version.
glucal - 30. March 2010
Hi Mischa
thanx a mil for getting back to me.
I understand where you’re coming from. Developing an OS version would take a lot of time! Better to focus on the iPhone app instead.
However, would it be possible to create an export version compatible with existing Mac OS X apps (especially Quicken!!!) ??
That would be absolutely fantastic!!
thanks a mil again and keep up the great work
Gianluca
Vincent - 30. March 2010
About “last month result” mode : Keep in mind that the last month result shouldn’t be used in stats. It’s important.
Please tell us when you will out the next release with this “last month result” mode !
Rouan - 31. March 2010
Hi
Been awhile since I posted here but I’m currently experiencing a major bug with Moneybook. When my “month” started on the 25th, my budget meter reset itself to $1000. Even although my actual “budget” value is correct it shows $1000 when I open the app. Once I click on another tab or basically do anything else, the meter increments with $500. I can do this multiple times and each time it increments with $500 again.
Only after a certain amount it actually starts counting to my real budget. But once I close the app it just resets back to $1000. I’m not seeing anyone else here encountering the problem which is a bit concerning…
Sandro (Admin) - 1. April 2010
Hi Rouan
that’s really a strange bug, never heard this before, what makes it even stranger

seems like a GUI only problem, don’t think that the actual values on the database are wrong or something like this, which is a good thing
maybe you can contact us again with the contact form and mail us your exact settings, the iPhone or iPod touch model you use, which OS version, jailbreak or not etc.
oh and to @all others:
we’re currently testing the next update and I think we’re gonna submit it sometime in the next week.
we will also write a new blog post detailing all the changes in the new version.
david - 1. April 2010
hi
awesome app !
but i still have a problem :
at the start of every month all the transactions are compt even those which are for example at the 15 of the current month !
i don’t talk about reccurent transaction
do you know about this ?
Ibux - 1. April 2010
HI!
love the app! but i have a problem… my month starts on the 15th since i get my paycheck that day. but every month on the 1th (like today) the main overview tells me i got payed! which is nice, but wrong, and now i no longer have control over my spendings without having to summarize everything i’ve spent since march 15th and make a “transaction” at this amount to make it right. so… why? am I doing something wrong?
Jimmy - 3. April 2010
I look forward for the next update. Keep up the great work. This App has great potential and will be soon the killer app in the store.
Daniel - 5. April 2010
Sorry. My post is about accounts. But I think we can have a alternative way to solve this.
I would like Money support multi accounts, but I understand you don’t want to implement this. At least, not now or soon.
I read some posts asking for this feature and comments about transfer between accounts and statistics. Thinking in simplicity and how to keep this great app simple, some of my needs would be satisfied if you create a (optional) field, maybe as a second field for notes, where I could use to indicate account.
This won’t fulfill my needs, but it would help a lot!
Congratulations for this great app.
Daniel - 5. April 2010
I haven’t bought it cause won’t be weekly or daily recurring transactions
Rgunn - 6. April 2010
I know you guys are busy with the next vers.
But please post a NEW blog aboutthe update!!!
I’ve been going out of my mind wondering what
exactly is next!!!!!)/)::!;@”/@/$-,/!:83&2)???
Haha. Thanx!

Hi, i tried export to csv, yet had to open the csv in textedit and replace all the commas with semicolons for numbers (mac excel) to understand it; should be easy to fix (if iphone setting is danish, use ; instead of , in export)
Would also love to pay for a mac app with the same functionality, sync would indeed make this a killer app along with the amazing Things
If sync is too much, then i suggest improving the export feature to separate income and expenses and include sums of all categories, then it would be easy to set up in numbers/excel, as long as there is no desktop program

@Rgunn

hahaha, this is a little update but i promise that you will love it!!!
e.g. the GUI is still the same but completely redrawn…
We call this update “MoneyBook HD”
Of course we will make a blog post about this…
Daniel - 6. April 2010
MoneyBook HD? iPad version?
:p
Just to confirm: surprise feature will appear in 1.7?
Ah, and you need to update images (site and App Store). The “i” icon was replace by a gear, right?
Mischa (Admin) - 6. April 2010
@Daniel
yes i hope the surprise feature will come with 1.7!
your are right, we have to change the old images… this needs time and is not so funny job
Vincent - 7. April 2010
Where to post comments about 1.6.5 ?
kristalks - 7. April 2010
still one of the best apps…
don’t understand (read: like) the shift to red.
blue looked more calm to me… misses also the blue glow
added a subtle effect and the blue came back in numbers + blue glow = key to beauty if some elements come back. Blue is +/- negative of orange = negative colors give peace for the eye = joy to use.
Riel - 8. April 2010
I do like moneybook very much. The last update made the app working perfect.
I really agree with kristalks about “the shift to red”
This nice blue was comfortable to look at.
Red signals to me: The money I spent is missing now.
Blue is like: I invested my money.
cheers

I currently encounter exactly the same issue as @Rouan.
Manet - 11. April 2010
More control on category in the future?
How about custom category?
Tomislav - 29. April 2010
Hi guys,
really awesome app!!
I like the philosophy and the eye for details. Still I would really appreciate multi accounting in one of the future releases. I believe that nowadays many people have multiple accounts to manage and for them the one account limit is a huge handicap. I’m really looking forward to this feature being implemented!!
what - 10. May 2010
I really like this app. However, I was wondering if weekly intervals can be added in the future instead of monthly. Thanks!
Zdenek - 12. May 2010
Major bug.
Hello I am experiencing exactly the same as @Rouan is.
I have Main salary filled in lets say (42000 money units). I have had added few transactions (lets say for 12000 money units). When I open the MoneyBook the budget meter shows 1000 money units. When I change to e.g. Transactions and back it will increment by 500 money units to 1500. This increment (by 500) happens every time I switch to other tab (Transactions, Recurring, History).
I did not find a reliable way to reset the budget meter to the correct value. It _sometimes_ happens while working with MoneyBook that it shows correct value. Note that this seems to be defaulted to 1000 and incremented by 500 regardless of currency used as I am getting exactly the same numbers as @Rouan using different currency.
This is a real showstopper.
I am using iPhone 3G.

@Zdenek
Yes! there is (was) a problem with to BIG numbers which we have already fixed for update 2.0. Thx for the bug description.
Zdenek - 12. May 2010
@Mischa
Hey thanks for feedback! While I am tempted to ask _when_ (2.0) it is going to be I understand you do (might) not have an answer.
Instead do you know any workaround I can use to get it recomputed correctly (i.e. doing a dummy thing)?
Mischa (Admin) - 12. May 2010
@Zdenek
i hope in one or two weeks! Update 2.0 is our greatest update with great stuffs. I’ve not really a workaround for this problem so you have to wait for this update. Sorry
Zdenek - 12. May 2010
@Mischa
Oh about two weeks is great!
Anyway I have found a workaround for current version. If someone needs.
You have to add a dummy transaction with a rather big number (10 000 money units) will do.
Then switch to overview then back to transactions and erase the dummy transaction you have just added.
Voila from now on the budget meter shows correct value!
Anyway looking forward for new version! Keep good work!
Thanks.

Please add a search function for notes. Where you can search for a keyword and it would show every transaction with that keyword in the note. Or maybe even a search function that would show only the transactions for a single category. And show the total sum. It would make this app perfect. Though great job with how it is now.
Kay - 25. June 2010
Bought your app today.
And it is really great.
The only thing i miss is more control over recurring transactions.
I have quaterly transactions for example our lovely GEZ.
If you implement this the app would pr perfect.
best regards
Kay
Skynoby - 12. August 2010
Please add monthly/quarterly/yearly recurring transactions and display the estimated “end value” of the current month (including all planned transactions).
This would make your app perfect.
Falcon - 19. August 2010
Hello
Do you know is the apps work with iphone 4 and sync with
https://my.moneybookapp.com/month.php ?
For me it doesn’t work when i push button arrow : Message error : No data received
Thank for your help
Falcon
Ed Stone - 22. August 2010
I love the app but like others I would like to see the overview take upcoming recurring transactions into account and maybe displayed then in another colour or italic etc. As otherwise it’s giving me false information.
For instance my water bill isn’t due each month until the 28th. While there are ways to get around this like changing the date it misses the point.
Thanks and keep up the amazing work!
Paul - 22. August 2010
I’ve bought the app since the first day of release. It’s been great. If you don’t mind please consider a few more requests.
1) For custom accounts, should be able to change icon. I have 5 custom accounts and it’s hard to differentiate them by looking at the same icon.
2) For expense categories, please add new icon for “medical” and “credit card”
3) Instead of just backing up information to the site, it would be great to be able to manage transactions via the website and upload the info to the iPhone app. Sometimes it’s more convenient this way.
